Who we are
Chuks grew up in a rural area of Nigeria, without the basic amenities of water and electricity. Throughout his early life he did not have the opportunity to regularly attend school as his family could not afford it and needed him home to help out with the household. His sister married to a Danish man who volunteered to sponsor him through primary and secondary school, that he finally got to embark on an educational journey that would not only change his life – but impact many of those around him. He excelled through his academic life and, via scholarships, managed to secure a place to attend an undergraduate degree in Business in London. He went on to do a second degree at University of Brighton, he has been in London for over 15 years and now he works as a mental health Nurse.
Gus was born and raised in the capital of Sweden. His upbringing was filled with all the typical conveniences of a Swedish child of his generation and he attended free, high quality education for 12 years before he decided to embark on a business degree in London, fully supported by government student grants and loans. After finishing his degree, he’s been working with strategy in various forms in Investment Banking and more recently Investment Management.
Chuks and Gus met at university in London, but their respective journeys there could not have been more different. But they quickly found out that they shared a passion for helping others and a belief in education as a vehicle out of poverty. That is the premises of which the Infinity Branch was established.
